The Exhibition

The Bondier-Lecat photographic collection contains about a thousand negatives depicting these strange “Annamites” who arrived in Bergerac during World War II. About a hundred photos, selected from the best in this collection as well as from other public and private collections, make up a core exhibition designed to tour throughout the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and beyond. At each venue, this core exhibition is supplemented by original archival documents, a video area, and various artifacts.

The exhibition opened at the Pôle d’interprétation de la préhistoire (PIP) in Les Eyzies on Friday, May 16, 2025, where it remained on display throughout the summer. It was then hosted in Bergerac (from October 2025 to March 2026), followed by the Departmental Archives in Périgueux (from April to July 2026). Other venues are under consideration.
